Supporting treatments in hair restoration
Alongside hair transplantation, PRP, autologous tissue suspension, and exosome therapy may be used to support graft survival, scalp health, and the quality of existing hair. Suitability is decided in consultation.

Supporting and complementary treatments may be used with modern hair transplantation to help the quality of transplanted hair, improve scalp health, and protect existing follicles. These adjuncts are selected individually from the patient’s hair-loss pattern, biological characteristics, and medical suitability.
PRP – platelet-rich plasma therapy
What is PRP treatment in hair restoration?
PRP (Platelet-Rich Plasma) therapy involves injecting a concentrated form of your own blood platelets into the scalp. These platelets contain growth factors that support cell repair, healing, and follicular stimulation, helping improve hair quality and density over time.
Is PRP used together with hair transplantation?
Yes. PRP can be performed before or after hair transplantation to support graft survival, reduce shedding, and optimize the healing process in suitable candidates.
How many PRP sessions are usually needed?
Treatment frequency varies depending on the patient’s needs, but PRP is commonly performed as a series of sessions spaced weeks apart, followed by maintenance sessions if needed.
Is PRP safe?
Because PRP is prepared from the patient’s own blood, the risk of allergic reaction is extremely low. However, it should always be performed under sterile medical conditions by experienced professionals.
Autologous tissue suspension (stem-cell-based therapy)
What is autologous tissue suspension?
This therapy involves obtaining a small amount of the patient’s own fat tissue under sedation, processing it in a sterile laboratory setting, and injecting the regenerative concentrate into the scalp.
How does this treatment support hair transplantation?
Scientific studies suggest that combining autologous tissue suspension with PRP may help improve transplanted hair survival, decrease shock loss, and support scalp tissue healing – although results may vary among individuals.
Who is a suitable candidate?
Candidates are evaluated based on their medical condition, hair-loss pattern, and treatment goals. A personalized consultation is essential before planning the procedure.
Is the procedure painful?
The treatment is performed under sedation and local anesthesia, meaning discomfort is usually minimal and well-tolerated.
Exosome therapy
What is exosome therapy in hair restoration?
Exosome therapy is an emerging regenerative treatment using microscopic vesicles that help cells communicate and support biological repair processes in the scalp.
How can exosomes benefit hair?
Exosomes may help reduce inflammation, stimulate follicular activity, and improve the quality and health of both native and transplanted hair when used as a complementary therapy.
Is exosome therapy suitable for everyone?
Suitability depends on the patient’s medical history, scalp condition, and treatment plan. A physician-led consultation is required to evaluate candidacy.
Is this treatment scientifically proven?
Exosome therapy is a developing field in regenerative medicine. Clinical use should be performed only in experienced medical centers, and outcomes may vary from patient to patient.
